And The Winner Is…

Congratulations to our winner of the monogram from Marry Monograms, Janice from Washington State!

We asked contestants to send along a Lazy Bride tip. Not only is Janice's tip super lazy (we love it!) but it's also very frugal. And personal.

Check it out…

A friend told me an idea she used in her own wedding, which numbered some 150+ people. She asked the guests in the invitation to each bring a flower from their own garden. She had friends assemble arrangements in vases, bridal bouquets and bridesmaid's bouquets on-the-spot as guests arrived, using the flowers they brought. The result was a gorgeous riot of color with flowers of all shapes/sizes/scents. People didn't forget to bring them, in fact they told her of their great joy in selecting beloved flowers from their gardens for her special day, and great anticipation at seeing what flowers other guests would bring.  She loved carrying her patchwork bouquet of hand-selected flowers, her wedding flowers were beautiful and plentiful, and it added a personal touch to the decorations.

Thanks so much for sharing with us, Janice, and congratulations again! Enjoy your monogram and all the best on your wedding planning! And thanks to all who entered as well as the fabulous folks at Marry Monograms for their kind offer. Stay tuned as more great giveaways are coming up…

  1. Good Afternoon,
I saw the post about lazy brides so thought I would tell you about my friend Alice.
Alice is getting married in July and she is having a hen weekend in a spa and maybe a theme park adventure too. Instead of hand writing her invites she is sending out e-Cards instead. Actually I thought it was quite a good idea really! She told me that she has found a really cool site that allows you to send e-Cards for free. I think this is such a great idea as a money saving technique! just wanted to let you know! gotta love her! Nicole
