Now, even a spiritual healer needs to let her hair down now and then – in addition to Machu Picchu, Alexandra discovered the yumminess that is the Amaretto Sour whilst in Peru. She asked that I please honour her new drink of choice in today's post and heck, who am I to argue with the formidable Ms. A?
Not a common cocktail but one that will be enjoyed by all if you decide to serve these babies up at your function. Salut!
2 oz Amaretto
1 oz fresh lemon juice & one slice of lemon
bar sugar or granulated sugar
Rub the rim of a chilled glass with a lemon slice and dip into sugar until well frosted. Shake Amaretto and lemon juice in shaker with ice. Strain into glass, garnish with cherry and orange slice. You can also mix up the cocktail and save overnight in the fridge.
