Happy Friday all! Having grown up in the Niagara Fruit Belt (yes, it’s really called that), peaches were a mainstay of our summer diet. Big, juicy, sweet peaches. Yum!
To celebrate our fuzzy fruit friends, I offer you the Peach Party, which is a party in a glass. Tequila and peaches – need I say more? Oh, and did mention it’d under $3 a glass? Yummy AND cheap. Thanks to the folks over at LearnVest for the recipe and photo.
Cheers!
Peach Party
½ peach, pitted, skin removed and cut in 4 slices
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 ounce triple sec
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 1/2 ounces tequila
Garnish: 2 thin peach slices, skin onCost: $2.65 per drink
Muddle the peach slices with the brown sugar in the bottom of a glass.
The peach should become fragrant and juicy. Add the triple sec, lime and
tequila. Stir. Add 2 ice cubes and garnish by pushing the peach slices
into the glass.
