Happy Spring all! With buds bursting and lambs jumping, et al, what better way to usher in printemps than with a refreshing, minty libation. And being non-alcoholic, this would make a perfect welcome cocktail for an outdoor wedding. A fun twist on the traditional mint julep!
1 oz pomegranate juice or POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice
1.5 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz honey syrup (2 parts honey with one part hot water – stir to dissolve and cool)
2 mint sprigs
Bruise 1 mint sprig in bar mixing glass with honey syrup. Add remaining ingredients and shake over ice. Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with remaining mint. Yum!
