Cocktail Friday -Romeo & Juliet Cocktail

Last Friday of Summer '09! Make a great one, everyone! Me? I'm hitting the boards in a production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, playing the lead of Viola (yes, I'm in 'drag', goofy mustache and all). So, being in a mood for all things Bard-like, I thought we'd dedicate today's cocktail to the greatest literary lovers of all time, Romeo and Juliet. Had the Montagues and Capulets sat down to a couple of these, I'm sure the ending would have been a happy one.

Romeo and Juliet cocktail Romeo and Juliet Cocktail
1.5 oz Patron Silver tequila (or Absolut Apeach)
1/2 oz Gran Marnier
1/4 oz cherry or Chambord raspberry liqueur
2 oz chilled peach juice
maraschino cherries
orange spiral

Add all the liquids into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well (about 10 seconds), pour into a chilled flute or martini glass and garnish with orange swirl and 3 cherries on a skewer, laying across the glass.

And how better to toast than with the following from Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet:
"My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep;
the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite."
