I"m thrilled to have Michelle Loretta of mmm…paper guest blogging for us today! I'm a huge fan of her work and I've come to know Michelle via Twitter. She is a constant source of great information, smart comments and support. A former accountant who left behind the world of numbers for crafting one-of-kind pieces of art, she's someone who is firing on both sides of the brain. She's a dynamo! Here then, in her own words…
As an invitation designer for mmm…paper, I LOVE working with couples that have destination weddings, particularly those with a beach or tropical locale. The use of colour in these weddings is what excites me the most. Our specialty in design is creating completely hand-made invitations. With a tropical wedding, you can really get into some fun decorative papers!
For 2010, it is all about colour. I love these tropical floral papers…vibrant colour yet not overdone.
A passport invitation is always fun for a destination wedding but I love how this bride chose bright, festive colours: fuchsia for the booklets with a turquoise and gold seaweed patterned wrap.

There are soooo many ways we can play with all of these fun papers! Here's a humongous bite of juicy colour:
Celebrate the colours of your tropical location and have fun with it!
Thanks so much, Michelle, for this colourful introduction to the beautiful work you do at mmm…paper!
Love these colorful and fresh invites!
Customized wedding postage is a great added touch to unique invites like these. http://www.weddingstamps.us/suggest-a-stamp has a tool which allows brides to plug in a few details of their wedding (theme, color, etc) and get suggestions for custom postage. Check it out!
