Happy Monday, Lazy Brides! What better way to kick off the week than with some honest to goodness real talk about wedding planning. Like REAL talk. Nothing sugar coated or glossed over – instead, open dialogue that’s not afraid to look into the darker corners of the tulle trenches that all those swoon-worthy blogs would prefer you don’t discuss (similar to bringing up politics or religion at the dinner table as things polite company doesn’t do).
But we’re not other blogs. And we’re not polite company 😉
Face it, not everything about weddings is sunshine and rose gold. Sometimes, all this planning feels like you’re trying to shove an elephant into a telephone booth while teetering on 5-inch heels. Or negotiating a truce between the Hatfields and McCoys (family drama is always guaranteed to keep you on your toes). Being upfront about the less-than-pretty aspects of this planning journey will help give you a grounded perspective. It lets you know that you’re not alone, that other brides are having the same dilemmas, the same situations that might just nudge you into Bridezilla territory (which we would never let you do). We’ve got your back (and your train). We’ll also discuss trends (hot or knot?) and share advice on how to be just a slightly lazier bride.
So, fire up the blender and chill that cocktail shaker as we’re launching Martini Mondays today! Pop over to our Facebook page at 12 PM CST as we go LIVE with chatting about the good, the bad and the fugly. It’ll be fun, informative and brief clocking in at no more than 10 minutes (ain’t nobody got time for loooong videos).
Have burning questions keeping you awake at night, such as the difference between cava and champagne (one is from Spain, one from a region in France – both are bubbly) or if you really need a seating chart (for all that is good and holy, yes! Do not leave your guests wandering about the reception like lost sheep or juniors at the cafeteria on the first day of school). Hop over to the gold envelope to the right and drop us a line. We’ll be sure to give our best answer in the next session – we’re all about the sharing.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
