Even the laziest of brides wants to look picture perfect on her wedding day and not surprisingly, hair and makeup is usually the biggest cause of anxiety on the big day. A little planning is all it takes and we’ve got the 411 for you here…
#1 Make sure your appointment is close the big moment, perhaps 2-3 hours before you walk down the aisle. Too early and your make up may smudge, you might sweat… you know the drill.
#2 When it comes to what style of hair and makeup you want, a picture really is worth a thousand words. Narrow down what you want, print it off and take along when you meet with your stylist.
#3: Have a trial run with both your makeup and hair stylists before the wedding so you know what you are getting and what to expect. The wedding day, when you’re stressed and under the gun, is no time to start experimenting. A trial also gives you a chance to see how your hair and makeup react to a full day’s wear so you can make any adjustments for the wedding day.
#4: Wear the right clothing. A button down shirt or robe are easy to take off. Removing a tank top or regular T-shirt over your head requires fabric to slide over your face, causing eyelashes to get caught, eyeliner might smudge, cute curls could stretch, hair pins could be ripped out causing your hair to mess up.
Here are a few suggestions:
These rockin’ robes from Plum Pretty Sugar are sold in sets and various prints so you and your girls can mix and match.
These cute personalized shirts are from elrileyembroidery a nifty etsy shop that gives you great deals. You can choose the font, the color and style.
Check out these fun hoodies, from TheLittleBridalShop . Decorated with rhinestones and made to order they are totally adorbs!!.
So plan ahead, print your hair and make up ideas, and enjoy getting pampered with the security that your make up and hair will stay intact till it’s time to walk down the aisle.
Good luck to you!
